Over 40 years I’ve owned just about every half stock plains/rocky mt. rifle and in my opinion none compares to the J.K. HAWKEN. I just started putting it together and I’ll say this that I’m not one those “kit’ guys. I’ve never done a kit and I really had no interest in ever doing a kit. But when I saw the finished version of this kit on Kibler’s web site I thought to myself this is the HAWKEN rifle I have been searching for the last forty years. Mr. Kibler I believe has created kits for people like me who have limited gun making experience and all I can say is thank you Mr. Kibler. I’m excited to finish this kit and looking forward to using it to stock my freezer full of venison, which I believe will be an easy task for this fine rifle. If your half as passionate about HAWKEN/plains rifles as I am then you got to get yourself one.
