My Kibler Hawken kit arrived well packaged with clear instructions. The parts fit perfectly with few adjustments to make in the inletting and not much in the way of cleanup on the metal parts.
The rifle's balance is superb and mounts just right. I will substitute a buckhorn rear sight for the one provided for longer shots at white rocks and metal disks, but this rifle seems very practical and handy. I haven't shot it yet as I am waiting for the finish to fully cure, but I believe the stock design and generous butt plate will make it a comfortable shooter.
Aesthetically, it is a very pleasing rifle. The walnut stock was laid out well and shows nice contrast and color. The rifle's subtle lines and small details of the metalwork give it the not fancy but not plain look of a rifle that get second looks. If a '51 Telecaster had a muzzleloader counterpart, this would be it.
I believe even and idjit could turn this kit into respectable, handy rifle. And I did.
