The bottle I received had no instructions. I found some on the internet & You-Tube. The only discrepancy was the initial color change, I didn't get any blue green as per the instructions. I live in Houston so humidity was not an issue. I kept following the instruction & got a GREAT brown on all my Hawken parts. Two caveats: One, the Hawken parts fit so tightly & this solution adds a few thousandths that I had to sand the breach plug, tang, lock plate & bolster to get them to fit again. Two, I also had to chase the threads & screws for the underrib. The Hawken was my first kit, next time I won't be so sloppy with it. Anyhooo, great stuff, bought another bottle & will use again.
The 50 and 54 Hawken rifles I ordered turned out beautifully and easily right out of the box and I'll be ordering the 45 soon. Thank you for another line of fine rifles!
I needed a sample pattern for a wooden patch box lid, and couldn't think of a better source than Kibler's. I've bought 4 kits from Jim's Team, and have been amazed at the quality and originality of each. I'm also learning how to make flintlocks from blank stock, so when I needed an example of a period correct patch box lid, I bought one of Jim's. It's perfect for what I need to lean how to make them with old world tools, and methods. Thanks again for having exactly what I need! Jim H.
Drop in replacement on a SMR rifle lock during the lock engraving process. Worked without any fitting. Glad I ordered an extra also.
