I didn’t like the Dangler Cold Browning at all. I had wiped the barrel clean with acetone and rubbing alcohol first and the browning solution still came out blotchy. I then used steel wool to even the look out somewhat and tried a second coat and it still looked horrible. So I ended up wire wheeling the barrel back to raw steel and used Casey’s Plum Brown and it came out perfect.
Absolutely amazed by the care and quality of the product, I live in Canada and the way my package was packed was perfect. The videos on YouTube was such a big help in the building of the rifle. It was an excellent experience all the way around. Thank you Jim kibler for the amazing product. The lock the stock the barrel the brass was all perfect. Will be buying another one sooner rather than later.
Being the first time using it I learned a lot. (Learn something new every day!) It enhanced what curl in the maple there was after I started applying the sealant. Seeing that ugly green at first was indeed off setting. All in all, I am satisfied. And yes, I have plenty for my next Kibler build.
Beautifully made, and much more stable than the usual spring vise.
