I searched for years looking at flintlock kits. I wanted the best wood, lock and hardware. All the kits I found needed a lot of work that was outside my skill level. I couldn’t be happier with this woodsrunner rifle kit! As a complete novice to gun building, I was a little nervous about taking on the project, but this kit made the process straightforward and enjoyable. The parts fit together beautifully with minimal fitting required, and the instructional videos were clear enough that even a first-timer like me could follow along without frustration.
Wile I have not looked at all of the kits on the market. I’ve looked at some of the imported ones and even own one that was pre assembled. They are not even close to the quality of this kit. It’s day light and dark deference. And the support team at Kibler’s is wonderful!
The quality of the materials is outstanding—the wood stock is gorgeous, and the metal components are well-machined and solid. After some careful finishing, the end result is a stunning, rifle that looks like it came straight out of history. It fires great, feels amazing in hand, and is something I’m truly proud to own.

Kibler gunstock sealer and finish are very good finishing products, easy to apply and cleanup. I have used up nearly half of them on practice pieces of maple, looking for just the right color and sheen -- while waiting for my Woods Runner kit.
