The barrel is fine prepared. The surface needs almost no sanding or filing. The dovetails match to the rear sight and front sight. Front trigger showed no lateral play, the Set trigger only very little. No gaps between lockplate and stock, perfect fit. The lock seemed very fast with the roller on the frizzenspring and the stirrup between mainspring and tumbler. Even the searspring is forged, not a simple sheet of springsteel. The stock is well milled, could be a little thicker in diameter, as it affords some sanding.
Very pleased with the quality of this finely machined pan primer. It dispenses an ideal volume of 4F powder with no risk of overfilling the pan. Smooth function and handy size.
The unit works great! Now how about an 8-32 sized guide for tang and lock screw. I know we do not need that size for your kits. Sure would be helpful for the doing a scratch build though.
What can I say ? They are two cherry chisels and the quality is great. They’re the perfect size for my project. Thanks again for a quality tool. I’ll use the heck out of them.
