I received the wood finishing kit but still waiting on my fowler kit. When I get the kit and get started on it, I'll let you know then how it works on the kit.
I bought this fly as a backup, along with one of each spring.
They spark well. Some are a little wide and misshapen, but they work. I have enough guns that all are usable.
Bahco files cut nicely last long give even results and are far superior to the Chinese or even some of our domestic versions available today
I didn’t like the Dangler Cold Browning at all. I had wiped the barrel clean with acetone and rubbing alcohol first and the browning solution still came out blotchy. I then used steel wool to even the look out somewhat and tried a second coat and it still looked horrible. So I ended up wire wheeling the barrel back to raw steel and used Casey’s Plum Brown and it came out perfect.
