I was amazed with how well everything fit, I had to shave off very little to get a nice tight fitment. The Mountain Rifle was well thought out and the metal parts were top notch. Excellent lock and trigger, mine needed no adjustment and function perfectly. The wood is beautiful and was easy to stain and finish. I used Kiblers Nitrate which pulled out the figure in the wood then finished with Tung oil. I used Jax Black on the barrel and got a pleasing color and it was easy to use on the remaining metals. One word of caution, the stock is very long and delicate to handle but when the barrel is pinned into the stock it's a very solid unit. Being a first time builder I was skeptical of pulling it off but the finished product is beautiful and I attribute my success to the quality of the kit. The rifle shoots great and the speed of the ignition is outstanding. Thank you Kibler for the beautiful rifle I proudly own. I'm looking forward to the Hawkin kit for my next build.
