What I can say is the Southern Mountain Rifle is my favorite Kibler rifle. I just finished the Woods Runner, which I love. Now eyeing the Barn left handed rifle. But the Southern Mountain is my favorite Kibler flint lock.
Bought the range rod, attachments that fit the range rod and a pan primer. Excellent quality of material, great fit and finish and solid and sturdy. The company also reached out after the sale to ensure I was satisfied. Where do you find that kind of service today?
Bought a spare front and rear sight for my woods runner before I started adjusting and filing on mine. Didn’t need them after all my woods runner 54 cal shots fantastic. But I have a spare now if the need should arise.
They are nicely cast and shoot great

The steel buttplate which appears to be an investment casting, needs minimal dressing with a file then finishing with sandpaper. It is of excellent quality.
Service from Kibler was great as expected.
I got a bottle of JAX black to try out while building my Hawken kit. My original plan was to brown the Hawken until I knocked over the browning solution… my concrete floor in the garage is now brown, go figure. So I than used JAX over the partially browned parts and wow what an interesting finish it produced.
These flints are great, spark fine and give a lot of character to the individual muzzleloader.
The Fowler was a pleasure to assemble and finish. Went together with easy. I feel them came out looking great. I have little gun building and finish experience, all I have came from Kobler Kits.
After they are completed, its time m e hunt and shoot. Not sure what part is best. I will continue to purchase these kits, I highly recommend them to any and all looking for a very rewarding project.

Works well at the range and for cleaning. Allows me to keep the original with my woodsrunner in good shape for the woods this fall.
This is my first Flintlock and my first Kibler! Was more than pleased with the quality of everything! The relief carvings look great. Iam excited to start my woodsrunner!

Outstanding quality and wonderful carving! I have carved many rifles myself in the past but after the loss of most of my carving tools in a fire I sat this one out and let Jim do the carving by CNC. I am glad I did as its beautiful! I just completed the rifle early this week and its stunning! Thank you Jim and all of you!
