I ordered the woods runner, "quick ship" with the large mineral stain on the stock. Jim rated the wood as higher than extra fancy but because of the mineral stain it was discounted. To my surprise the mineral stain completely disappeared when I applied Jim's iron nitrate stain. (As you can see on the attached photo.) The kit was listed as a .45 but was actually a .50 green mountain barrel, which was a great surprise, because I really wanted a .50 for deer, bear and moose here in Maine. Kibler's is a great company to work with.

A little hard to get just the right amount of heat but once you get to know how much heat to use comes out beautifully.
Works great for fine dovetail work.
