Carved

Kibler’s Longrifles has combined it’s expertise in CNC machining with the company’s background in producing high end custom Longrifles.  The result is a rifle with beautifully designed and executed carving available at an unbelievable price point of $375 add-on

Carved in nearly all possible locations, the designs are such that a harmonious and beautiful rifle results.  A rifle of this quality was previously only available from a high-end custom builder for a significant price tag, and many years-long wait times, but things have now changed.

Stocks for this kit are being produced on new and highly sophisticated CNC equipment.  This will result in a kit that is even easier to assemble as compared to our current offerings.

The kit does not come carved--the photo with the carving is a custom rifle Jim made years ago that was based on the "Woodsrunner" rifle

IN THE WHITE

  • This service is available as an add on to a kit gun order.  This is $525 for this service. You will need to contact the office via 330-551-5844 or info@kiblerslongrifles.com

A gun provided "in the white" will be completely assembled and functional.  The wood will need sanded and finished.  The metal will also benefit from some cleanup.  This is typically a little light filing on the rough spots followed by a little polishing with abrasive paper.  The metal can be left in this condition or can be blued, browned, aged etc.

Your kit will arrive assembled, ready for you to customize and finish.

FINISHED RIFLES

We recommend the work of talented and experienced gunsmith, Chuck Edwards, for those who would like additional finishing work done on their Kibler Rifle.  He can be reached at (573) 421-5098 and his online page is found on Facebook.  He has finished out many Kibler rifles and does fantastic work.  The pricing will vary depending on the work and should be discussed with Chuck.

Over all great rifle

The barrel and tang did not fit. It took me several hours to get things right. The holes were about a half a hole from fitting. Then the patch box did not fit. Took me awhile to get it to latch up. The front sight was an extremely bad casting. After filing it to square up I don’t know it I have enough left to sight it in with.
But overall I am extremely impressed with what Jim has done. It is amazing that it fit as well as it did. I love the balance and feel. Could not ask for a better rifle after overcoming a couple of issues. Those issues would not have been a big deal to an experienced builder. But to me they were tough to over come. But as I said it is an awesome rifle. Would highly recommend to anyone. I am sure that I probably got the only kit that ever left your shop that was not a perfect fit. Just my luck.
Thank you for a wonderful product. As soon as I can afford it I will order another kit from you.

High quality at a fair price.

After getting into muzzleloading I wanted to get a traditional style long rifle. Countless people recommended Kibler. It is well worth the price. The quality of the kit and there’s tons of info on finishing techniques not only from Jim but others online. I am looking forward to getting another one in the near future. I have nothing but good things to say about it.

I can’t say enough about Jim and his entire crew. Their attention to detail and customer service is second to none. Coming from a background in mechanics, tolerance stacking issues are something that I face almost daily. On Jim’s kits, their tolerances and quality are to be praised. No tolerance stacking or any negatives whatsoever to talk about. Thank you guys and gals for such a wonderful product and thank you for what you all have done for the flintlock community!

But.......when you pin the ram rod ferral to the ram rod, #50 bit is required. I live in rural North East NE and even the NAPA auto store hadn't even heard of that size of a bit. A standard 1/16th bit would be helpful for those of us in the boondocks. Love the rifle and showing it off! My brother-in-law has drooled on it, LOL.

Shipping

Liquid Shipping

Liquids will not ship in the kit box. There are different regulations that apply to the chemicals that we sell and they will need to ship ground, when the kits will ship USPS Priority Mail. Plus, it would really stink if a liquid were to leak on your beautiful new kit!

Order tracking

You will receive tracking information when your item ships. For kits, you will be contacted before shipment and after shipment so there is no need to worry about a kit box shipping when you are out of town. All other packages will ship when available and you will be emailed a tracking link.

Get in touch

If you have questions, feel free to email us at info@kiblerslongrifles.com or give us a call at 330-551-5844. Even if you have to leave a message, we promise to get back with you right away. Bree can answer most questions and she will be sure to ask Jim when needed.
