Received kit in a well constructed box, with interior protection on all parts. Had requested and received some cherry pieces to test finishes on, much appreciated. The instructions and available videos make putting this rifle together a cinch. Looking forward to shooting it now. Many compliments on its appearance, but to be truthful, I benefited from the work of Jim Kiblers associates.
The grain is gorgeous, and I can’t find a flaw in any of the machining. I think this one must have slipped through the cracks somehow!
Quality sealer, so much so that I have stripped down 2 other gun stocks and used this.
I was a teenager the last time I tried a kit, now I'm approaching 70 and intend to take my time. The colonial requires some skills as I needed to make some adjustments to the fit. I'm also taking a leap and installing a patchbox. I have never done inlay before, so this should be interesting.
