This service is available as an add on to a kit gun order. This is $700 for this service. You can add this service as a product onto your order, just choose the Colonial option for the appropriate pricing.
A gun provided "in the white" will be completely assembled and functional. The wood will need sanded and finished. The metal will also benefit from some cleanup. This is typically a little light filing on the rough spots followed by a little polishing with abrasive paper. The metal can be left in this condition or can be blued, browned, aged etc.
Your kit will arrive assembled, ready for you to customize and finish.
Finished rifles
We recommend the work of talented and experienced gunsmith, Chuck Edwards, for those who would like additional finishing work done on their Kibler Rifle. He can be reached at (573) 421-5098 and his online page is found on Facebook. He has finished out many Kibler rifles and does fantastic work. The pricing will vary depending on the work and should be discussed with Chuck.

Colonial American Longrifle Kit +$315 Lock Billed Separately
I can't say enough positive things about the Kibler experience. I purchased the Colonial rife .50 kit and received it in about three weeks. Despite being my first gun build when I paired it with Jim's Youtube tutorials the gun essentially built itself. I just got back from the range and was amazed at the way it shot.
Gotta admit, for a first timer the YouTube videos could be a heck of a lot better. A bunch of changes to the kit have been made since the videos were released. So some of the fitting issues are different and hard to figure out. Like the trigger plate fit really tight and I couldn’t get it out unless I jammed a screw driver in the slot, and by doing that I stripped the threads for the screw. Some steps in the videos are no longer needed and if you were to implement them like I was about to, you could potentially do harm to the kit (lock drilling). The disassembling the lock video needs to be redone with a clear view of what is happening. A lot of the video it’s impossible to tell what’s going on. The kit is high quality and I’m sure after my first kit is finished I’ll be a kibler pro.
I’ve built numerous kits and rifles from scratch, but nothing, NOTHING, will ever beat my Kibler colonial except another Kibler. The precision, the fit, the hardware, second to none. I’ve never had a lock as fast and reliable as the Kibler. I feel like I stole it at this price!
Most of the parts were perfect or almost perfectly fitted before I ever opened the box. The lock is vastly superior to my Pedersoli lock. The barrel is the same, having actual rifling grooves instead of a .005" deep suggestion thereof. Mr Kibler was thoughtful enough to include far more pin stock than is required, so that those mistakes don't ruin the project. The worst things about this rifle are my own choices and mistakes.
My only genuine complaint is that the drill guide broke inside the very first hole. I got one absolutely perfect hole drilled into the first barrel tab. Now forced to do things the hard way, I messed up a hole possibly forever. Sodder might let me fill it back in and almost start like it never happened.
Trigger plate held me up but build is going well.Easy to put together.

Shipping
Liquid Shipping
Liquids will not ship in the kit box. There are different regulations that apply to the chemicals that we sell and they will need to ship ground, when the kits will ship USPS Priority Mail. Plus, it would really stink if a liquid were to leak on your beautiful new kit!
Order tracking
You will receive tracking information when your item ships. For kits, you will be contacted before shipment and after shipment so there is no need to worry about a kit box shipping when you are out of town. All other packages will ship when available and you will be emailed a tracking link.
