The full classic longrifle

The Colonial is the full-size American longrifle, built after the rifles of the 1760s and 1770s. It carries bigger, stronger, bolder architecture than our Woodsrunner, with a longer barrel and more presence in the hand. This is the rifle for the builder who wants the classic full-size longrifle and is ready for a larger, more involved project.

The stock is CNC machined to close tolerances, every hole is drilled, and the parts need only minimal fitting. The design is ours and the machining is ours. The hand work, and the satisfaction, are yours.

The Round-Faced English lock is included. The price you see is the complete kit price.

• Flintlock longrifle, with our CNC Round-Faced English lock included
• .50, .54, and .58 caliber, rifled, with smoothbore options in .54 and .58
• Styling from the 1760s and 1770s, representative of rifles made in many of the colonies
• Brass mounted
• 43.25" custom-profiled barrel. Breech 1.125", waist approximately .800". A nicely contoured barrel, standard in square-bottom rifling
• Pull about 13 5/8", drop approximately 2 3/4", cast-off approximately 3/16"
• Buttplate approximately 2" wide and slightly over 5" tall
• Available with or without a sliding wood patchbox, at no additional charge
• Set up for a single trigger
• Stock CNC machined for close tolerances and a fine surface finish, with all holes drilled and minimal part fitting required
• Barrel has all sight dovetails cut, underlugs machined in, and a White Lightning style touch hole liner pre-installed. Breech plug and tang fully machined, shaped, and installed
• Available in curly maple, walnut, or cherry, or provide your own stock (minimum blank 2 1/2" x 60" x 7")

Finished rifles

We do not finish rifles in house. For additional finishing work on your Kibler rifle, we recommend the talented and experienced gunsmith Chuck Edwards. He can be reached at (573) 421-5098 and his page is on Facebook. He has finished many Kibler rifles and does fantastic work. Pricing varies with the work and should be discussed with Chuck.
