I’ve used those wood stains from the hardware store before, and never was quite satisfied with the finished product. Upon purchasing my Kibler Woodsrunner kit, I decided to try their iron nitrate stain. Imagine my surprise when I saw the finished stock. Absolutely amazing to use! Plain maple stock turned out beautiful. I’m very happy with the results. The videos posted on YouTube make the process real easy.
I Built this 1 for another and they have it over the mantle like a prize deer.
Great products . Great service. Easy to order. Like dealing with old friends!
Wood was better than I expected. Lock machining has improved and very happy with that. The lock needs a lite coat of oil they rust really fast.
This rifle was fun to build. I ordered the Fancy Maple and it is the most beautiful wood. I watched Jim's videos a bunch of times not to make a mistake. I wish I'd had it carved, but it is impressive looking as it is. The Jack's Black and Brown worked great on the steel and brass. The iron nitrate stain was fun to apply and heat to bring out the color. I used the Kibler's Gunstock Sealer and Finish and that gave it a rich look like Tiger Eye stone when changing positions in tge sunlight. The rifle is shooting pretty good so far, but I've only just basically sighted it in and haven't shot groups yet. Customer service was very good. The lock performance was very good without a misfire. It seems to be faster with about 1/3 of the pan filled with 4FG. 2FG worked good too, but I didn't try it but once.
