IN THE WHITE
  • This service is available as an add on to a kit gun order.  This is $700 for this service.

A gun provided "in the white" will be completely assembled and functional.  The wood will need sanded and finished.  The metal will also benefit from some cleanup.  This is typically a little light filing on the rough spots followed by a little polishing with abrasive paper.  The metal can be left in this condition or can be blued, browned, aged etc.

Your kit will arrive assembled, ready for you to customize and finish.

We recommend the work of talented and experienced gunsmith, Chuck Edwards, for those who would like additional finishing work done on their Kibler Rifle.  He can be reached at (573) 421-5098 and his online page is found on Facebook.  He has finished out many Kibler rifles and does fantastic work.  The pricing will vary depending on the work and should be discussed with Chuck.

I Like It!!!!

I bought a Woodsrunner when they 1st became available. It was 6 months before I received it. However, I ordered plain Maple and received an excellent piece of Curly Maple. I see many builders fancy up their guns with inlays and carvings. If the Woodsrunner was made in the Virginia Mountains/Appalachians as stated on this site, the rifle would have been a working man's gun. This is what I wanted to recreate. The Woodsrunner is by far the easiest gun kit I have ever put together. I have built over 200 guns in my time, both from scratch and kits of various stages. This is my, I think, 6th, Kibler kit. My 1st was a Colonial. With my style of shooting, the comb was too high. I couldn't get a proper sight picture. I then built a Colonial for a customer. Next was 3 SMR's in a row. The SMR .45 cal. is an extremely accurate rifle. I get overlapping holes at 50 yards and sub-1-inch groups at 100 yards. The last Kibler rifle was the Woodsrunner I just completed. I haven't fired it as of yet, I have 12 gun orders to finish. I'm really looking forward to sighting the Woodsrunner in. The comb height it perfect for my shooting style. Jim's customer service is great, and Jim continues to improve the quality of his products. Semper Fi.

Woodsrunner 50 cal - Great results and experience for my first build

Just completed my first build (Woodsrunner, 50 cal, maple) and extremely happy with how it turned out. I watched Jim's videos mostly and also used several of his products, including the iron nitrate and permlayn sealer. I used Jax black to "age" the brass and also for the barrel blue. I also highly recommend the files he sells because draw filing of the barrel was much easier using them. The results were excellent. Other files did not have the same "bite". Listen to his advice on the Woodsrunner build videos, take notes...they are invaluable and make the task simple. Everything went together perfectly so I can't say enough for the quality. This rifle was everything I hoped for and more.
It took me a span of about 6 days to complete, from a couple hours per day to half a day for two of those. I enjoyed it, learned some things and after I add a couple extras to this one and finalize it, I will start saving for another one.
If you are considering one, I recommend making one yours...you will not be disappointed.
First Kibler rifle build for me but will not be the last!

WOODRUNNER WOW !!

Ordered my straight grain maple Woodrunner July of 2022. Got it the last week of Jan.2023 Very Impressed! I was a little hesitant about ordering a " KIT " Because of the Kits from the 70s and 80s. This KIT "WOW " it went together like a breeze Poshing the brass took the most time. I sanded it with 220 and 400 grit paper. I stained it with Tannic Acid and Kibler Iron Nitrate applied Linseed oil. Very impressed with the lock very reliable

Definitely a winner. Assembly was a breeze with all the parts fitting seamlessly. Great architecture with clean classic lines and handles effortlessly. You will not be sorry you ordered this rifle. My second order will be placed soon.

Just finished Woodsrunner

Just begun the sighting in process. Only got three shots off at 50 yards with initial sight setting on rear. 1" group at 50 yards, two through same hole. I'm happy. I think this will be Jim's most popular gun due to the way it balances, especially for shorter guys like me. I have all of Jims other rifles, but this one is my favorite.

You will receive tracking information when your item ships. For kits, you will be contacted before shipment and after shipment so there is no need to worry about a kit box shipping when you are out of town. All other packages will ship when available and you will be emailed a tracking link.
