Relief carving on Kibler's rifle kits... Yes, it's finally here! This has been a long time coming and I can't tell you how excited we are to release this option on our best-selling Woodsrunner kit.
I think the results speak for themselves, but from a personal perspective, I couldn't be happier with how it has turned out. My background is, of course, building high-end custom rifles and the carving being offered stands up to any hand-carved custom rifles I've made.
There's no question that most 18th century longrifles had at least some carving, moldings etc. This can be hard for some to wrap their heads around, given the fact that carving is pretty much absent from any modern arms. Nonetheless, it's true and this decoration adds a GREAT deal to the overall appeal and appearance. In short it makes a longrifle look "right".
A 10-Year Overnight Success
It has literally taken us ten years to develop the skills and processes to be able to produce such high quality carving at an affordable price. Thousands of hours have been spent learning CAD skills, programing techniques and experimenting with production methods.
And now it is available only from us!
Two Different Comb Carvings
Currently, two similar variants are available on our Woodsrunner rifle kits at an introductory price of $295 over the kit price. If—like Jim—you can’t make up your mind, we offer a 3rd option “Surprise Me” which will let us pick the comb carving for you.

How to Order
When you select the CNC Relief Carving Option +$295 in the Woodsrunner Rifle Kit Product, the Comb Relief Carving Dropdown menu will show up just above it.
It doesn’t change the price but you will need to make a selection to complete the checkout. If you can’t decide or would be happy either way, you can choose “Surprise Me”
