Replacement Parts

Lefty Percussion. I placed my order on 20 May and received it 17 September. Being a new kit and the first lefty, I knew it would take time. Keep this in mind when ordering. This was my first Kibler. Shipping was first rate: notification, packaging, and condition. I had it together for the first time in a day’s worth of effort and it went together without a hitch. The fit was great. This rifle is very thin and points very well. Pictures on-line just don’t show that. Be careful how long you rough cut your pins. Because I wasn’t holding on to the first pin I cut, it shot across the shop somewhere (never found). I ended up ordering some extra pin stock. I learned a lot when finishing the stock and metal parts. My advice is when ordering, ask for extra wood pieces to test your perspective finishing methods, watch the utube videos by Jim, and expect to be ordering another rifle (I have a Fowler on order).

New front sight is a clear winner!!!

Having filed the original front sight down to a nubbin but still hitting low I decided to try something else. Purchased the new front sight and installed it.Was going to try to obtain new higher rear sight but thought I would try a larger round ball. Purchased a box of 100 .395 round balls. To my surprise,,, first shot was a dead bulls eye!! Next 5 rounds were in the bull or right next to it. Happy days! New front sight is a winner!
