Colonial and Woodsrunner Kit Rear Sight

I bought the rear sight for my Kibler Southern Rifle Kit and it didn’t fit. The sight was too long for the dovetail. I used an old sight for the job.

Beautiful rear sight. But not needed on my rifle after getting over the flintlock flinch.
Rifle shoots point of aim at 100 yards with 52 year old eyes that require correction and bifocals.

Well… I needed an other Muzzleloader like I needed a hole in the head. I seen that Jim had some sales going on before the Holidays on some not so perfect stocks so I jumped on one that looked pretty good, and I was Not disappointed! Like the other Kibler’s I have this one was just as good as the others. All I can say is keep it up Jim, you’re doing an outstanding job for the Muzzleloading community. Kibler kits are by far the best out there!

Bought a spare front and rear sight for my woods runner before I started adjusting and filing on mine. Didn’t need them after all my woods runner 54 cal shots fantastic. But I have a spare now if the need should arise.

I make parts for other flintlocks, and wanted something to pattern them after, so I ordered rear sights and a patchbox cover. As always, Kibler's shipping and customer service is the BEST around! They make is a pleasure to buy top quality parts every time!

The tall rear sight did the trick for getting my rifle zeroed at 100 yards without having to file the front sight down too much.

A nice rear sight for the colonial era. The sharp "ears" on either side tend to dig into hand while carrying at the balance point. I filed them off and sight is now perfect

Just what I needed.

the taller rear sight is great. it seems to be necessary, I can't imagine how you can get any distance with the lower rear sight.

Gives my older eyes a better sight picture. The aperture could be slightly larger, but I can do that carefully with a tiny tapered file.

This taller rear sight allows me to customize my sight picture AND run lighter target loads at distances between 50 and 100 yds. Once installed, it’s simple to file the center notch to the depth and shape to fit my wants. Really wish they made a similar product to fit my SMR.

The taller sight seemingly should be the standard height, unless you intended for the front site to be filled so short.?

Have used about 10 set of Kibler sights. Very consistent quality and size.

Fit and worked perfect. Solved problem

The taller front sight may not be HC, but it looks great and definitely helps bring up the shot. For me, a very welcomed alternative.

The rear sight was perfectly sized and little to no filing needed for a snug and good fit.

My old eye sight is getting to the point I couldn’t see the front sight

I had to change both front and rear sights , so that I may continue to shoot my Woodsrunner rifle …
I now have non period correct sights but I can shoot my rifle ,

Went right in the existing dovetail with one file swipe. The rifle now shoots point of aim at 25 yds! Just the right amount of elevation it needed without filing front sight down a lot.
