these guns swoop down from the lock to the but plate, the case is straight - with the rifle in it it looks badly crumpled in the middle, I thought these were designed to fit colonial style guns - they really don't fit .

I've had good luck using the 45 - 50 - 54 cals

I've had good luck using the 45 - 50 - 54 cals. the 40 - 58 cals. I haven't used yet , but I'm sure they will work just fine , the first three I have used for
cleaning and loading they all have done a good job at the bench , I will use
the 40 as soon as finish my SMR , it's coming along real nice .
