It is light, easy to carry, and a friendly first build. The stock is CNC machined to close tolerances, the holes are drilled, and the hard machining is done before it ships, so you can finish one with patience and a basic set of hand tools. The design is ours and the machining is ours. The hand work, and the satisfaction, are yours.

It is patterned after an original frontier rifle, often called the "Woodsrunner," believed to have been made in Virginia in the 1760s.

Specifications

Flintlock longrifle, with our Round-Faced English lock included

.54 caliber, rifled

Cherry stock

Patterned after an original Virginia rifle of the 1760s

Weight 7 1/2 to 8 lbs, very handy and easy to carry

Barrel length 39 3/4", nicely swamped

Pull 13 7/16", cast-off 3/16"

Drop at heel 3" to 3 1/4", drop at comb 1 3/4" to 2"

Brass hardware, single trigger, sliding wood patchbox

Right hand only

Rifle is shipped in unassembled kit form.
