Not yet. We promise we will, but the development takes time.  Our production methods prevent us from simply mirroring a style to produce a left-handed version.

If a customer desires to supply his or her own stock blank, they may do so and deduct $60 from the price. For the Southern Mountain Rifle Kit, we need a blank at least 63" long and 2" thick and 7" wide.  For the Colonial Rifle Kit, we need 2 1/2" by 60" by 7" wide.We ask that a customer interested in this mail a stock blank to our shop.  The address can be written directly on the wood.  PO Box 293Hanoverton OH 4442

Maple is the most common, although american walnut and cherry are both also historically correct and make nice rifles.

Unfortunately, we are not able to customize these kits.  This is the tradeoff that we need to make in order to offer these extremely high quality kits at an affordable price.  Customizations could slow down the process and force us to raise prices.

We sell direct to the customer to keep our prices lower than they would be if we had to allow for a markup.  We do not offer wholesale or quantity discounts at this time.

I personally don’t think either round or square bottom rifling  makes a great deal of difference.  Those who favor square might argue that it’s a little bit more accurate.  Those that favor round might say it cleans easier.  I don’t think there’s a big advantage to either.  We charge more for round because it takes longer to make and is therefore more expensive.

We take just a $300 down payment when the rifle is ordered unless it’s going to be shipping within a week or two from the order date.  In this case, we usually just do a full payment  We’re very flexible though.  If you want to order and make a down payment or payments, please give us a call at 330-341-0675 or 440-670-7883.

Yes, if you want to add your own brass patchbox, the buttplate isn’t cut for the wood box and the stock will be fully shaped.  We don't sell patchboxes but Track of the Wolf or Muzzleloader Builders Supply would be a good source for a brass box.

Typically, it doesn't make sense for the boxes to be returned to us, especially through the mail.  Feel free to keep the box.

Yes, when your item ships, you will be emailed a link to your USPS tracking number.

Yes, we ship kits to Canada, but we do not ship liquid finishing supplies such as iron nitrate, patina solution, or Permalyn sealer.

We have successfully shipped kits and parts to Germany and France.  Contact us for more info.

We ship using USPS Priority Mail and kits are shipped in a custom made wood crate.

You will receive an email with tracking information at the time of shipment.

Priority mail typically takes 2-3 days in transit.

Sometimes you can add supplies, but if they are too large (large patina solution) or if they need to ship by ground (Permalyn) they will need to be shipped separately.

We do not have a storefront and we are located in the middle of nowhere, off the beaten path.  We are not set up to be able to take care of customers at our workshop.  Shipping works best.
